Latest thinking is that a few billion years ago, first life started by some random acts; through evolution grew into today. And all necessary basic ingredients and conditions were present.
This long ago event is well supported by the discovery of fossils in layers of rock... deeper you go, more primitive the life form found.
Here is the question...
How come life never started again; when all necessary ingredients are also present in even more complex form. If life started when only the basic ingredients were present, shouldn't it be easier for life to start later when all and more is available.
But based on fossil evidence embedded in rocks, tree of life has one root.
